Waves

'Twas not by chance the waters stirred;
They shook, excited by God's Word.
They listen well, and rise and fall
According to the Master's call.
The waves all roll and strike the shore
Accepting what He has in store-
God! O, make me like the sea
That rises and exists for Thee.

And he said to them, “Why are you afraid, O you of little faith?”
Then he rose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.
And the men marveled, saying,
“What sort of man is this, that even winds and sea obey him?” (Matthew 8:26-27 ESV)
