I know this is an old post but maybe someone will stumble upon this. There is a popular belief among churches and people that God is always squeezing you, or putting the pressure on you, so that you can grow or see whats really inside.. This is just not true. I believed that teaching for years, and also suffered with bad depression and unrest, not knowing why I was experiencing this and not being able to get out of it. I realized towards the end of the depression that I really believed that God put that on me for me to grow..The funny thing is that the pressure i was experiencing was something I held onto because I thought God was orchestrating it for me to grow!! Once I got free of that mindset, I was free from the pressure. God is here to unrestrict us, to make us free and to allow us to live free and powerful lives.
